Cats begin losing their baby teeth at around 12 weeks or 3 months. By four months of age all of their 26 primary teeth should be visible. By the time a kitten reaches six to seven months all of their 30 permanent teeth should have erupted. Kittens lose their teeth as a normal part of their development.

As these teeth grow the mother may experience discomfort when nursing and start weaning the kittens. Most cat owners won t even notice a kitten has lost his tooth it is often lost in the home or swallowed. The secondstage is when these deciduous baby teeth fall out and new permanent teetherupt. She has 26 baby teeth that are replaced by 30 permanent or adult teeth.
